Conversation: Pain, Hope, Questions and Community

by Anthony L. Fisher on 5:02 AM

Last week, I had the privilege of joining my think-tank group and a few others at A Night w/ To Write Love On Her Arms. I'd heard about this organization a few years ago & sadly, my knowledge of who they were was quite limited. All I knew was that their name was catchy and they had some pretty cool t-shirts....that's it! Little did I know that their name was heavily wrapped around their cause & in a major way, their cause deeply rooted in community and love!

"To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery." (TWLOHA Mission)

Sitting in a room with a hundred others along with the leaders and founders of this movement was such an honor. When the night was over, I was FLOORED! I left with a heavier heart for community, being a godly influence on the lives of others, and relentlessly pursuing conversations that are not going on. Be it in the area of depression, pain, lust, or anything else...there are people who are dealing with real problems and there must be real people to embrace and address them!

Check out the website.

Join the movement.

Be the change.

That was a night to remember. I had been anticipating the opportunity to see what their environment is like up close.

I love their sense of community.
